As part of the UK’s Presidency of the G7 group of leading democracies in 2021, the CBI is chairing the B7 group of business associations from G7 countries. The B7 acts as the voice of business for the G7. It will mobilise international business behind an ambitious G7 agenda and ahead of COP26 in Glasgow, demonstrating how business leadership can promote free trade, create a race to the top on net-zero and strengthen global resilience. The CEO Summit is the fuel to the fire and will inform the high level B7 Summit discussions with government over the following two days.
The B7 CEO Summit programme includes:
A keynote and discussion of business leadership led by a senior UK cabinet minister.
Panel discussions led by CEOs on building post-pandemic resilience and creating opportunities for growth.
A launch event showcasing commitments from global CEOs as part of the UN’s Race to Zero campaign ahead of COP26. This will be led by a senior UK cabinet minister.
A unique opportunity for you to provide solutions to ministers on creating sustainable, global supply chains, increasing digital adoption and furthering innovation in healthcare to create a resilient recovery, which will form part of the B7 recommendations to the G7.
The CEO Summit will conclude with the presentation of these solutions to a senior UK cabinet minister.
We need big ideas to tackle the big global challenges ahead and are looking forward to tackling them together.
